We have positions that require a season-long commitment. Instead of signing up for these on a weekly basis you will contact the volunteer coordinator at [email protected] to express your interest. Many of these positions are better suited for swim team parents who are already familiar with swim team. 

Team Photographer - 2 volunteers. Will take pictures of the swimmers during the parties, meets, and practices.

Computer Room – 1 volunteer. Computer Room Season Long volunteers will be a key member of the meet merge and day of meet operations. The volunteers would need to be comfortable with data entry and computer operations.  This role is indoors and air conditioned. 

Head Timer – 2 volunteer (1 per shift) – The Head Timer takes swimmers' times on multiple stop watches, which could be used only as a substitute in the event of failure of an Official Lane Timer's watch or its operator. The Head Timer is expected to lead a short timers and scribes meeting before the swim meet starts, typically around 8:00 a.m.

Home Meet Ready Tent (Line Up) – 2 volunteers (One per shift). The Ready Tent Line Up volunteer will organize the swimmers into their specific heat and lane prior to the ready tent. The Line Up lead role works directly with the DJ and Ready Tent Megaphone lead to coordinate with the line walkers and other Ready Tent line up volunteers. A good knowledge of ALL the swimmers is very valuable for this role.

Away Meet Ready Tent (Line Up) – 2 volunteers (One per shift). The Ready Tent Line Up volunteer will organize the swimmers into their specific heat and lane prior to the ready tent. The Line Up lead role works directly with the Ready Tent Megaphone lead to coordinate with the line walkers and other Ready Tent line up volunteers. A good knowledge of swimmers from most age groups is very valuable for this role.

Ready Bench Leads – 4 volunteers (2 per shift). The Ready Bench Leads ensure the Ready Bench operates smoothly throughout the meet. These roles work with the Ready Tent and the Line Walkers to ensure swimmers are in the correct heat and lane. The Leads will coordinate with the other Ready Bench volunteers from both swim teams to continue to move the swimmers from the chars to the blocks. Prior Ready Bench experience is very valuable for this role.

Concessions- 2 volunteers (1 per shift): Purchase all of the food and drinks sold at concessions. Lead the weekly concessions volunteers from set up through the meet and clean up.  (home meets only- previous experience preferred)

DJ / Announcer- 1 volunteer (home meets and parties)- Play music and make announcements throughout the home meets and parties.  

Team Parent Lead- 1 volunteer- Coordinate with 3 team parents for these activities.  Organize the food and supplies for the team parties. Set up and pass out food and drinks at the party. Place stickers on meet and improvement ribbons after the meets and organize them in the ribbon boxes for the swimmers.  Pass out improvement candy at practice once a week  This role typically has responsibilities outside of meet days. Manage social media (Facebook) messages. 

Team parent- 3 volunteers- Work with the Team Parent lead for all of the above activities. This role typically has responsibilities outside of meet days. 

Merchandise- 1 volunteer- Work with vendors to provide swim suits, t-shirts, photography, and 5/10 year gifts for the team.  This role requires responsibilities starting in Feb and goes through the season.  (previous experience preferred)

Set up/Clean up Lead- Lead the weekly set up and clean up all of the set up and clean up of home meets.  Set up starts on Friday night and concludes Saturday morning.
